About Mrs. Kirschman

My name is Tanya Kirschman and this is my 23rd year as a school counselor. My purpose is to work with students to promote academic, emotional, and social development through individual and group counseling, classroom lessons, and referring families to community resources when needed.

It is rewarding to help students to meet their goals and grow to become responsible, caring and contributing citizens. My office is a safe, private place for students to share their feelings. We work together to find ideas to help cope with struggles and concerns, and generate strategies in the development of independent, peaceful problem-solving skills.

I enjoy working with Highland students and their families and feel so grateful to be here!
