Classroom Lessons

Classroom counseling lessons focus on developmental needs and may include friendship skills, bullying prevention, conflict resolution, study skills, career awareness, and other topics. Each classroom receives a counseling lesson every week (with the exception of short weeks for vacations and holidays). Lesson objectives are based on the American School Counselor Association Mindsets and Behaviors as well as the Billings Public Schools Counseling Competencies. These competencies and indicators cover three domains: social/emotional development, academic development, and career awareness. To stay up-to-date on your child's current lessons, visit the home page on this site. It is continually updated to reflect current topics being presented in classrooms.
